Professor will guide the audience through a personal journey, tracing from undergraduate studies in mathematics to the current role as a professor and researcher in high-performance computing (HPC). The talk will explore the decision to pursue a PhD in HPC, the path to becoming a professor, and insights into balancing a career with family commitments. Bio:
Zhiling Lan received her PhD degree in Computer Engineering from Northwestern University in 2002. She is currently a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Illinois Chicago.
